This full-day immersive experience weaves together the depth of StoryWork with the grounding, embodied power of Breathwork. Throughout the day, we will gently explore the narratives that have shaped your life and internal world, creating intentional space for each participant to engage their story of harm with care, dignity, and support.
Breathwork will be utilized intentionally throughout the day, to bring participants back to themselves in an embodied way. As we hold our own, as well as listen and hold one another's stories, it is important to return again and again to our whole selves in mind, body, and spirit. With access to nervous system regulation and connection to our body’s wisdom, this powerful work of engaging StoryWork goes even deeper.
This retreat offers a supportive, connected environment for meaningful reflection, embodied practices, and the kind of shared healing that becomes possible when StoryWork and somatic practice meet in community.
Space limited to 4 people for intentional care and time for each person’s story.
Investment $850

About David Dodd:
For more than a decade, I’ve walked alongside individuals, couples, and communities as a pastor, counselor, and story guide—work that has taught me to pay attention to the deeper currents beneath our lives. My Narrative Focused Trauma Care (NFTC) training with The Allender Center only sharpened what experience had already shown me: real transformation isn’t fast or tidy. It rises when we slow down, listen with our whole bodies, and dare to name the redemptive fingerprints woven through even the most fractured chapters.
I’m drawn to art that speaks in ways language can’t—body art that marks the stories we carry, creative expressions that reveal truth, and the ocean, my oldest teacher. Surfing has become a ritual of surrender and resilience for me, mirroring the very work I do: falling, rising, and returning with greater courage. I’m especially captivated by repentive stories—the fierce, beautiful moments when we fight for the good in ourselves and turn the ordinary into something remarkable, branded by pain yet strengthened by relentless hope.
When I’m not coaching, I’m with my wife of 20+ years and our four kids, or out on the water chasing waves and clarity. My grounding in wellness, community, and embodied presence shapes how I show up in every collaboration: fully here, deeply attentive, and committed to helping others flourish.
I’m honored to partner together—and to bring this kind of fierce, redemptive, story-shaped work to the people we serve.
