Breathing with Mimosa: A Nature-Based Tea & Breathwork Journey
Facilitated by Christy Doucette a licensed professional counselor, breathwork facilitator, yoga therapist, and yoga teacher & Nora Luce your local folk herbalist, plant spirit guide, and earth educator.
Join us for a powerful and heart-opening evening held by the energy of Mimosa (Albizia julibrissin)—a plant ally known for its ability to both uplift and soothe our heart!
This intimate outdoor gathering by the marsh invites you into the healing rhythms of nature, sacred tea, and conscious breathwork—designed to support both expansion and contraction in the body, breath, and spirit.
🌿 What to Expect:
A Tea Ceremony & Plant Spirit Connection
We begin with a grounding tea ceremony led by Nora Luce of Critical Ritual, featuring Mimosa—a plant traditionally used to ease emotional heaviness and invite the heart into gentle spaciousness. Through guided meditation, you'll be invited to connect with the subtle, energetic presence of Mimosa, tuning into what it may offer you in this moment. We’ll explore both the spiritual energetics and traditional uses of this heart medicine.A Somatic Breathwork Journey
Guided by Christy, this breathwork session is a powerful practice of active meditation that allows you to release stored tension, dissolve emotional blocks, and enter a deeper connection with your inner world. As Christy shares: “The breath is a healing modality that brings us into presence—where we are most at ease and able to access clarity, gratitude, peace, and joy. It connects us with our intuition, our Spirit, and the present moment.”
Whether you're new to herbalism and breathwork or seasoned in your practices, this session invites you into a deeper relationship with your body, heart, and spirit, while immersed in the natural beauty of the marsh’s edge.
